How we handle errors
USA Beam corrects factual errors as soon as we confirm them. This page explains how we handle corrections and how you can report a mistake.
Report an error
If you spot something wrong in one of our articles, email us at [email protected]. Include the article URL and a short description of the error. We review every report.
What counts as a correction
We separate errors into two types.
Minor corrections include typos, broken links, misspelled names, and small date or number errors that do not change the meaning of the article. We fix these directly and do not always add a public note.
Substantial corrections include wrong facts, misattributed quotes, incorrect statistics, and errors that change the meaning of a story. We fix these and add a correction note to the article.
How we mark corrections
Substantial corrections get a note at the bottom of the article. The note lists the date of the correction and what changed. We do not remove the original error silently. We show what was wrong and what is now correct.
Example note:
Correction (July 1, 2026): An earlier version of this article said the match kicked off at 3 p.m. It kicked off at 4 p.m.
Sourcing standards
We verify facts against primary sources where possible: official statements, government data, court records, and direct interviews. For sports coverage, we use official league and federation data. If a source turns out to be wrong, we correct the article and note it.
Editorial independence
Corrections are handled by the editorial team, not by advertisers, sponsors, or outside parties. No one outside USA Beam can request a correction be hidden or delayed.
